Ticket machine at the start of the historic footpath – discounted group tickets cannot be purchased there.
Welcome to Riegersburg Castle
Proud and mighty, Riegersburg Castle is enthroned on the 482-meter-high volcanic rock from which it overlooks the southeastern Styrian hill country. In all the centuries of its existence, the Riegersburg could never be conquered. Nowadays, the climb up to the castle is much easier, but always an experience.

Discover and explore our three museums in Riegersburg Castle. Admire the magnificent rooms in the Castle Museum and get to know the legendary women of Riegersburg. Immerse yourself in the dark and mysterious chapter of the witch trials in our Witches Museum or take a look at the arsenal of Riegersburg in the Weapons Museum. You can get an even more in-depth experience of the museums during our guided tours. Guided tours for groups are available upon prior arrangement.

An engraving on a window pane in the Knight's Hall from 1635 testifies to the excesses of days gone by. Nowadays, culinary delights take centre stage. For example, by conquering the Leopold climbing trail, which was set up on the castle hill made of volcanic rock - or by giving archery a try in the 3D archery course?
